Parties and Gifts

IMG_0940I went to my grandfather's 80th Birthday party this passed weekend and snagged a few pics (read more here)... Not only that but he gave me a few things.

He gave me a box full of old 8mm reels of my dad, and aunts as they were growing up.  I get to archive, I really like doing it actually.  He also hooked me up with his old Canon AE-1 and a whole assortment of lenses, a flash and a motor drive!  I'm picking up some 35mm film and shooting with this thing as soon as I can make it to find some film.

slacker, part deux

Along with not shooting as much as I'd like, I have been dreading the archiving of my old images and have put that off for far longer than I'd have liked.

I am in the process of archiving all my images, film to current. I'll get into how and why at a later time. As of now, only taking in to account what is on my hard drive, I'm at roughly 55,000 images.

I went through what I have in my queue for archiving and what has gone through my archiving process and came up with these shots as the oldest I had on hand. There are others on disc but I have yet to get to those.

With time.
