Engagements, Weddings and after the fact.

I have been shooting more wedding oriented things than I would have imagined myself doing a few weeks back. I shot some engagement photos in New Hampshire a couple weeks ago and this passed weekend I shot a wedding on the shoreline here in CT.

Doing what I love for a living and on the side can be exhausting. I am very happy though that I am shooting more now than I was a few months back. That's pretty easy considering I shot next to nothing. There is a ton that goes on after the actual shoot and to me that's at least 60% of the work involved.

Once shot here is a list of things I do on my end:
  • Backup the photos in case something goes wrong (don't want a wedding being erased accidentally)
  • Caption the photos
  • Edit
  • Post-processing
  • Make images available for clients to see
  • Prints
  • Edit
  • Archiving
  • Other stuff that I won't bore you with
Then there is the part of dealing with the client through back-and-forth conversations and waiting for your clients to get back to you with what they want to do next, which images they like and don't like, etc. Regardless of all the work involved, I love it. Take a look at some images from the engagement session in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.

More from Al and Andrea's Engagement session.

Look for some changes to occur here on my blog (talking to no one, since no one reads except for Marisa) and my website. I got a little extra dough so some changes will be taking place. There are so many options when it comes to what I want to do, its just going to take a bit of time to decide how I want to do it.
